Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 2 November 2026
Scope of This Policy
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses, workshops, digital resources, and related services offered through flashryne. It covers professional training materials focused on live television production, including studio equipment integration, camera techniques, acoustic optimisation, lighting setups, and production processes for news, interviews, and live shows. The policy governs transactions made by customers in the United Kingdom and explains how payments are handled, when contracts are formed, and under what conditions refunds may be issued.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling. Value Added Tax at the prevailing UK rate is included where applicable. Any additional charges such as transaction fees from third-party processors or optional add-ons are shown clearly before you complete a purchase. flashryne reserves the right to adjust prices, but changes do not affect orders already confirmed.
Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security
We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and approved digital wallets. Payment is authorised at the time of order. All transactions are processed through secure, PCI-compliant gateways. Your card details are never stored on our systems. If authorisation fails, you will be notified immediately and the order will not proceed.
Order Confirmation and Contract Formation
When you submit an order, you receive an automated acknowledgement. A binding contract is formed only when we send a formal confirmation email containing course access details or booking confirmation. Until that point, either party may cancel without penalty.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods
Under UK consumer law you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract formation during which you may cancel without giving a reason. Digital content that has been downloaded or accessed within this period may lose refund eligibility. Services that have begun with your consent also lose cancellation rights once performance has started.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items
Refunds are available for unused digital courses and unstarted services within the cooling-off period. Non-refundable items include downloaded materials, completed workshops, promotional bundles, and any content accessed after purchase. Refunds are not granted for change of mind after the 14-day period or for failure to meet personal expectations.
Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us using the details on our Contacts page. Provide your order number, full name, email address, and a brief reason. Requests must be submitted within the applicable time limits. We will acknowledge receipt within two working days and guide you through any further information needed.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification
Each request is reviewed against the eligibility criteria. You will be notified of the decision by email within ten working days. Approved refunds are processed promptly. Rejected requests include an explanation and information on any further options available under UK law.
Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing typically takes five to ten working days after approval, although bank processing times may extend this to fourteen days. You will receive confirmation once the refund has been initiated.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Services
Digital courses and downloadable resources are treated as digital content under UK law. Once you begin accessing or downloading material, your cancellation rights are affected. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional offers are subject to the same rules unless explicitly stated otherwise at purchase.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud
If a payment fails, we will attempt to contact you to resolve the issue. Duplicate charges are investigated and refunded automatically where verified. Chargebacks are treated as disputes and may result in suspension of access pending resolution. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate account review and possible reporting to relevant authorities.
Mandatory Consumer Rights That Cannot Be Excluded
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. You retain the right to pursue claims through the courts or alternative dispute resolution schemes if a satisfactory outcome is not reached.
